Macklemore grote winnaar Grammy Awards 2014

Same Sex

Single ‘Get Lucky” won de Record of the Year Grammy en Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis kwamen gezamenlijk tot vier Grammys: Best New Artist, Best Rap Song en Best Rap Performance voor ‘Thrift Shop’ en Best Rap Album voor “The Heist”, voor Kendrick Lamar (“good kid, m.A.A.d city”), Drake (“Nothing Was the Same), Jay Z (“Magna Carta Holy Grail”) en Kanye West “Yeezus”).

Nine Inch Nails, Queens of the Stone Age, Dave Grohl, en Lindsey Buckingham ( Fleetwood Mac) sloten de Grammy Awards 2014 af ‘Copy of A’ en ‘My God Is the Sun’.

Music’s biggest night… to be disrespected. A heartfelt FUCK YOU guys.

Video of the Year: Girls’ Generation – “I Got A Boy”
Artist of the Year: Eminem
Response of the Year: Lindsey Stirling and Pentatonix – “Radioactive”
YouTube Phenomenon: ”I Knew You Were Trouble”
YouTube Breakthrough: Macklemore & Ryan Lewis
Innovation of the Year: DeStorm – “See Me Standing”

2 oktober: De YouTube Music Video Awards

Tijdens de YouTube Music Awards show in New York zal opgetreden worden door Lady Gaga, Eminem, Arcade Fire, Lindsey Stirling, CDZA, Avicii, M.I.A., Earl Sweatshirt, Tyler the Creator en Walk Off the Earth.

In totaal zijn er zes categorieën waarbinnen gestemd kan worden: Video of the Year, Artist of the Year, Response of the Year, YouTube Phenomenon, YouTube Breakthrough en Innovation of the Year.
