Def Jam laat weer van zich horen om hun 30-jarig bestaan te vieren en hoe! Met twee special editions van een van de meest roemruchte acts die Def Jam groot hebben gemaakt en vice versa: Public Enemy. Het betreft de albums “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” en “Fear of a Black Planet” waarmee Public Enemy hiphop hebben gedefinieerd.
De special edition van het album “It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back” verschijnt 24 november al en zal bestaan uit het originele album, een disc met mixen en een DVD. Hierop staat de lange tijd niet verkrijgbare release “Fight The Power…Live.” Oorspronkelijk kwam deze uitgave van Public Enemy in 1989 op VHS uit. Questlove heeft de liner notes van deze special edition van Public Enemy. De tweede special edition, van het Public Enemy album “Fear of a Black Planet” verschijnt 8 december.
